The Fischer LP360™ connector in plastic is a smaller and lighter solution with high quality and durability standards. Made of a high-end composite based on PEEK, it’s IP67-sealed (mated and unmated) and endures up to 5,000 mating cycles. Up to 70% lighter than the connector in metal, it’s ideal for use in applications where size and weight optimization is paramount.
The multiple configuration options of the rugged, low-profile Fischer LP360™ connectors form a versatile technology platform that serves as a network enabler for wearables and connected ecosystems in the Internet of Things and of Humans (IoT/IoH). The breakthrough plug-and-use technology benefits both engineers and end-users. Multiple configuration options facilitate application design. The panel plug can be easily extended to multifunctional wearables such as biometric sensors, communication systems, GPS, lighting and bodycams. These can be snapped quickly and easily onto the cabled receptacle, which is integrated into flexible structures such as ready-to-use smart personal protective equipment (PPE) vests. Since the connector has no key code, it can be plugged in any position, optimizing cable routing and power management. Contacts are IP68-sealed with a membrane, ensuring that the connector is fully cleanable. The low-profile design enables easy integration into any application, such as smart work vests.

1) Current per contact at 40 °C temperature rise measured on the basic curve according to IEC 60512-5-2-5b. For the max. operating current, a reduction factor must be used and limitations due to the size of the wires and the permissible upper temperature limit of the materials employed must be taken into account.
2) Recommended operating voltage at sea level. This rated voltage is a general-purpose guideline where no other electrical safety standard applies. In case where other standards rule a specific use of the connector, then the application-specific safety criteria shall be considered first. This must be evaluated in the frame of equipment engineering.
