Fischer Connectors at DSEI: making advances in miniaturization, performance and data transfer with MiniMax USB 3.0 and UltiMate Power solutions

From 12 to 15 September 2017, Fischer Connectors is showcasing its innovative ruggedized products designed to meet the growing needs for faster, more powerful and smaller solutions in defense & security applications at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) tradeshow.

In close partnership with its customers, Fischer Connectors continues to push the boundaries of connectivity to address design engineers’ need to minimize space and maximize performance in their devices used in Dismounted Soldier, Ground, Aerospace and Marine military applications.

On stand S4-120, visitors can discover, along with their full product range tested to MIL-standards, the following new products:

  • Ultra-miniature USB 3.0 connector in the Fischer MiniMax™ Series

The lightweight, high-density, signal & power Fischer MiniMax™ Series has been extended to include a new dedicated USB 3.0 contact block in the 08 size.

  • Power connectivity solution in the Fischer UltiMate™ Series

The ultra-rugged, compact Fischer UltiMate™ Series has been extended to include two power configurations (2x contacts of 26 Amps each or 3x contacts of 16 Amps each, both combined with 3x signal contacts).

Visitors can also get a preview – both on the stand and in the Dismounted Soldier Systems Showcase located in the tradeshow’s Land Zone – of Fischer Connectors’ breakthrough wearable connectivity technology offered by the LP360 solution. This rugged, lightweight, low-profile connector offers 360° mating freedom to optimize cable management, allowing for easy integration into clothing.

Moreover, attendees to the DSEI Seminar Programme can learn more about connectivity trends – wearability, miniaturization, data transfer and sealing – in the presentation given by Fischer Connectors’ Sr. Product Manager Wim Vanheertum: “What Modern Soldiers Want: Robust, Fast, Small, Smart Connectors” / East Theatre, Land Zone, North Hall / Wednesday 13 September, 10:30-11:00.

Field-tested in a wide range of defense & security applications, Fischer Connectors’ rugged solutions are presented in an innovative and ultra-realistic computer-generated video, a dedicated website and a brochure, all published as a world premiere at DSEI.
