The mission of the Strategic Purchaser is to drive cost competitiveness, quality, innovation, and risk mitigation across the supply chain within a complex, multi-site manufacturing setup and a global supplier network.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE
· Develop and implement procurement strategies for critical components and materials, aiming to reduce total cost of ownership, improve quality, and ensure reliable delivery performance.
· Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and build long-term partnerships that support our technical, commercial, and sustainability goals.
· Work closely with R&D, engineering, and operations teams, taking the lead procurement role in new product development projects from concept to launch.
· Identify and evaluate new suppliers, lead RFx processes, conduct supplier visits, and onboard strategic partners aligned with our evolving needs.
· Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements through structured analyses and development plans.
· Ensure compliance with ESG requirements, export control, and regulations, contributing to responsible sourcing practices.
· Ensure sourcing strategies are consistently applied across locations, aligning local execution with global goals and maximizing synergies across units.
· Stay alert to market trends and technological changes, continuously seeking opportunities, innovations, and risks in the supply chain.
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
· Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field.
· 3 to 5 years of experience in strategic procurement in an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally in an international and multi-site context.
· Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
· Analytical and proactive mindset, capable of managing competing priorities while staying focused on impact.
· Fluency in Portuguese (C1/C2) and English (C1/C2), both written and spoken. French is a plus.
· Solid knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and MS Office tools.
· Ability to translate business needs into actionable sourcing strategies, with a good understanding of cost drivers, supply risks, and market dynamics.
· Confidence in handling complex negotiations and creating long-term value through strong supplier relationships.
· Solid knowledge of strategic sourcing levers (TCO, dual sourcing, should-costing, supplier development) and how to apply them.
· Clear communication skills;
· Team spirit, able to align different technical and commercial stakeholders around common goals.
· Ability to adapt to dynamic environments;
· Strategic vision for continuous improvement.
