Position Purpose:

The Finance Controller is a key financial player responsible for managing the company’s cost structure integrity, budgeting, and financial reporting. This job is entitled to the management of cost structures, BOMs, variances, and margin performance.

The Finance Controller collaborates cross-functionally with manufacturing and commercial teams and is expected to support the company’s growth by extending financial oversight to additional business functions and initiatives.

This role is a succession-oriented position, designed to evolve into a future financial leadership opportunity.

 

Essential functions:

 

SAP Costing & Process Support

· Maintain SAP costing accuracy across standard and actual cost flows.

· Collaborate with procurement and operations to validate inventory valuation and cost drivers.

· Participate in ERP optimization efforts to enhance automation and reporting.

· Support the integrity and quality of Internal Control Processes.

 

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Analysis

· Drive annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

Maintain and analyze cost structures, BOMs, variances, and margin performance

· Partner with department leaders to build accurate, data-driven financial plans

· Provide cost/margin insights to support pricing and quoting decisions

 

Financial close and reporting

· Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual controlling activities.

· Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP

· Manage GL and CC integrity and ensure accuracy of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

· Produce internal management reports and financial analyses for leadership

· Actively collaborate with Operations, Sales, Procurement, and Logistics to align financial processes with business goals

 

Preferred Qualifications:

   Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

· Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in manufacturing setting

· Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to communicate across teams

· Excellent working knowledge of SAP FI/CO; experience with MM and PP modules a plus

· Solid understanding of standard/actual costing, inventory accounting, and BOM analysis

· Experience preparing financial statements, managing the close, and working with external auditors

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred (both building and using dashboards)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
