YellowScan, a global leader and designer of next generation manned and unmanned LiDAR solutions, announces the addition of Fischer Connectors to its list of sponsors for YellowScan’s Global Community conference LiDAR for Drone 2022 (June 13-14, Montpellier, France).

Fischer Connectors has been one of YellowScan’s legacy connectivity partners, dating back to the first LiDAR system YellowScan commercialized.  “Our high-performance connectivity solutions are tailored to applications requiring faultless precision, quality and durability in demanding operating environments such as defense & security, medical, test & measurement and unmanned systems,” says Guy Lacroix, Director of Fischer Connectors France. “Fischer Connectors’ experts look forward to showing the participants of the conference how miniature, rugged and sealed interconnects can enhance the data and power performances and functionalities of UAVs and LiDAR technologies.” The three Fischer MiniMax™ connectors used for the Mapper’s power, LiveStation and camera ports have been chosen by YellowScan’s technical team to meet specific requirements in terms of light weight, small footprint, rugged material, high pin density, EMI/RFI protection and impedance.

YellowScan devices each use three Fischer Minimax connectors. (Left to right) Four pins for the external power port; 24 pins (RJ45 and Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter, UART) for the LiveStation port; and 19 pins (USB and General Purpose Input/Output, GPIO) for the optional camera port.

LiDAR for Drone is an excellent opportunity for members of YellowScan ecosystem to discuss the latest developments of LiDAR technologies, share experiences and meet with customers, partners and distributors.  Attendees will gain insight into the LiDAR industry and hear from interesting and innovative LiDAR users thanks to the extensive program of technical sessions, work-shops, live demos and training.  The many networking opportunities will also give our attendees a chance to showcase their involvement in the LiDAR market.

This year’s conference will be bigger and better than ever as YellowScan will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary!
