For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for a Supply Planner to develop our network of suppliers locally in Portugal and Spain for the indirect materials of our factory in Portugal. Implement the plant’s purchasing process locally to coordinate and monitor purchases, from requisition generation to product delivery and payment. Defining, developing and maintaining the purchasing department’s analysis and reporting tools;
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE:
Supplier management
- Identifying and recommending best-in-class suppliers thanks to benchmarks (technology, delivery time, quality, cost)
- Lead the qualification of new suppliers according to factory standards
- Assess suppliers’ capabilities, performance and risks and recommend mitigation actions
- Negotiating supply contracts with suppliers
Managing factory requirements
- Ensuring the availability of components in quantity and time and in accordance with expectations (marking, processing…), while limiting inactive and obsolete stocks
- Ensuring that orders and delivery schedules are monitored;
- Analyzing MRP requirements (SAP)
- Communicating requirements and forecasts to suppliers
- Managing the priorities of its product portfolio (internal and external)
- Keeping the technical data in the SAP information system up to date (supplier files, article database)
Purchasing analyst
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
- Generate regular reports and present the findings, providing insights to improve decision-making.
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
- Higher education in the areas of Engineering, Management, Applied Mathematics or similar
- Professional experience in Purchasing functions, with national and international suppliers, in an international company specializing in microtechnology (preferably), in the automotive or aerospace sector (Minimum 5 Years)
- SAP knowledge
- Easy to manage high volumes of information and correlate complex processes
- English C1 level. French is a plus
