For our R&D Department in Amarante, we are looking for a Mechanical Product Designer (F/M), in charge of sustaining existing products, sustaining our standardization and digitalization efforts, as well as support the design of connectivity products.
You will participate to delivering qualified design through industrialization, according to requirements in alignment with timeline, budget, manufacturing methodes, quality, change process, and create all related documentation.
You will also support product verification using prototype testing and qualification. The position requires internal interaction across R&D teams and across a variety of services as manufacturing and supply, as well as quality.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE:
• Ensure product quality through the use of relevant international standards, engineering tools, and internal standards.
• Participate in the design of improved or new products, including functional analysis, CAD modeling and drawings, qualification test plans, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure structured development throughout the Product Development Process using Engineering Change Management.
• Work tightly with engineering, tooling, process, and manufacturing teams to provide product documentation with respect to design requirements.
• Maintain and develop knowledge through design guidelines and internal standards.
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
• EQF Level 4: CAD Designer or Technical school in microtechnic, mechanics, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in product development and electrical connectivity.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g. CREO).
• Experience with PLM (e.g. WINDCHILL) and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Good knowledge of drawing standards, dimensioning and tolerancing, Manufacturing and machining process, Material & Coatings
• Strong interest in mechanics and product sustaining.
• Well organized, methodical and precise.
• Able to work in English (B2 level)
• Proactive with strong learning capabilities.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work and deliver outcomes both independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
