For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for an IT Systems Administrator.
As a IT System Administrator you will support the daily operations of the Group networks and IT hardware and software systems connected to it. This role encompasses problem solving but also proposing solutions aligned to business needs and their implementation. You will be responsible of installing, configuring and operating IT infrastructures for our Group, managing the company’s computer equipment and the configuration and use of the network and telecommunications. You will improve the performance of the systems and guarantee IT security.
 
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE:

 

Provide IT support to users at levels 1, 2 and 3 for the entire Group 
    • Handle and prioritize hardware & software incidents and user requests.
    • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end-user workstation hardware, software, networking software product and other IT equipment.
    • Assist hardware and software rollouts, special projects, and testing within specified deadlines and training users as needed.
    • Implement all procedures relating to security, backup, disaster recovery and acceptable use.
    • This position will include travel to other subsidiaries when needed.
 
Infrastructure Systems: implement, monitor and report
    • Servers: AD, Azure, file, application, Vmware, Mailbox, VPN, business, and Windows applications.
    • Backup and systems restoring.
    • Network infrastructure
    • Manage user access rights.
    • Document procedures related to information systems.
    • Optimize the performance of computer environments.
    • Maintain clear diagrams, architecture, documentation, and guidelines that allow you to drive continuous improvement in IT processes and best practices.
    • Ensure that the defined architecture and their operationalization comply with the requirements, standards and policies of.
 
Cybersecurity: implement, monitor and report
    • Implement, operate and maintain security tools, policies, procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
    • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation about the infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
 
IT Projects
    • Participate actively in IT projects, business needs analysis, solution study and proposal, implementation, users training and documentation creation.
 
THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING:

 

    • Information Technology degree.
    • 3+ years of experience as System Administrator.
    • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    • knowledge of deployment of Microsoft systems and software: Server, Client, AD, Azure, WSUS, Office 365.
    • Relevant technical qualifications in Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments.
    • Good understanding of network infrastructure, servers and databases.
    • Working knowledge of safety methodologies and frameworks (e.g., ISO27001, NIST CSF, etc.).
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity, with a particular interest in application security.
    • Highly developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to communicate well with technical and non-tec.

    • Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandatory).
    • French speaking skills is a plus.
