For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for an SAP MM/SD/WM/PP Consultant – with Project Management & S/4HANA Migration Focus.
MISSION
We are looking for a dynamic and solution-oriented SAP Consultant with strong expertise in Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), and Production Planning (PP). The successful candidate will play a key role in the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, while also supporting and improving existing SAP solutions. This position combines functional expertise with project management responsibilities and strategic business engagement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE
- SAP Application Management & Development
· Ensure availability, performance, and continuous improvement of SAP MM/SD/WM/PP modules.
· Analyse, design, and configure business processes into SAP solutions across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
· Drive or support the transition from ECC to S/4HANA, including testing, data migration, and training.
· Collaborate with cross-functional SAP experts (FI/CO, HR, etc.) to ensure end-to-end process integration.
· Design flexible, scalable, and future-ready SAP solutions aligned with business needs.
· Prepare functional specifications, testing scripts, and documentation for change requests and enhancements.
- User Training and Enablement
· Provide day-to-day support and coaching to super-users and end users.
· Develop and deliver SAP training materials, workshops, and best practices sessions.
· Foster a culture of self-service, autonomy, and continuous improvement in SAP usage.
- Project and Change Management
· Act as Project Manager or Workstream Lead for SAP-related projects and initiatives.
· Contribute to the definition of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
· Coordinate internal resources and external consultants in alignment with business stakeholders.
· Identify opportunities for digitalization and process optimization through SAP innovations (e.g., Fiori apps, embedded analytics).
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to align SAP functionalities with strategic business goals.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING
· Degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
· Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP MM, SD, WM, and/or PP.
· Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC (mandatory).
· Solid understanding of logistics, warehouse, procurement, and production operations.
· Strong analytical and solution-design skills.
· Experience with project coordination, Agile or traditional project management methodologies.
· Ability to manage priorities and multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional context.
· Experience in preparing documentation, training, and change management.
· Fluent in English and Portuguese (mandatory); additional languages are a plus.
· Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
