For our Plant in Amarante, near Porto, we are looking for an Accountant.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Accounts Payable:
-
Enter employee invoices and expense reports.

Prepare payments and reconcile payments with accounts.
-
Handle payment notices and follow up on disputes.
– Accounts Receivable:
-
Manage the reconciliation of customer payments.
-
Handle customer advances.
-
Monitor account receivables due dates and collaborate with the sales department to issue relevant reminders and account statements.
– Treasury:
-
Enter bank transactions.
-
Reconcile bank statements with accounting records.
– General Accounting:
-
Reconcile accounts.
-
Analyze balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
-
Support month-end and year-end financial closing.
-
Support intercompany transaction and reconciliation processes.
-
Assist with transactions and reconciliations related to fixed assets, including depreciation and inventory control.

Implement, monitor, and improve financial and accounting procedures.

Provide support during financial audits.
REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Accounting or Finance;
-
Experience in accounting, preferably within an industrial company;
-
Enthusiastic, dynamic, and flexible personality;

Team spirit, strong communication skills, and open-mindedness;

Versatility, accuracy, precision, and ability to work autonomously;

Strong organizational skills, logical thinking, and a systematic approach to tasks;

Sharp analytical mindset and practical sense of numbers;

In-depth knowledge of basic accounting procedures;

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);

Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system;

Proficient in English (B2/C1) written and spoken;

Proficient in French (B1/B2) written and spoken.
