NPI Project Manager

For our NPI Department, we are looking for an NPI Project Manager with both a strategical and operational role to offer our key customers best-in-class service and support.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE

Hands in hands with Sales and Engineering, you oversee all operational topics to deliver on time and within best quality standards. You have end-to-end responsibility to

(a) define the production strategy,

(b) make things happen during prototype, pilot and mass production phases,

(c) report progress to key customers.

 

This includes:

  • Define and scope each new project by clearly identifying stakeholders and deliverables
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, supply chain (procurement & planning), internal and outsourced production
  • Evaluate industrial risks (supply, manufacturing, quality) and drive the team to implement mitigation actions
  • Act as a facilitator during prototype & pilot runs, lead the team to launch production of new products
  • Lead the ramp-up to mass production, make sure to have all aspects under control: production capacity, tools & equipment, quality of purchased components
  • Lead transfer activities within different Fischer Connectors plants in the USA and EMEA
  • Drive subcontractors and contract manufacturers
  • Drive troubleshooting activities and get production back and running when needed


THE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering: microtechnology, mechanics, electrical or electronics
  • Hands-on project manager
  • 5+ years in industrial projects
  • Succinct & precise picture of the projects you are responsible for
  • Analytical, structured, and rigorous: define and follow KPI, document decisions, …
  • Animate internal teams, report to management, support customers & sales
  • Practical knowledge of an ERP


WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

  • Able to work in French and English (minimum C1 level required)
  • Excellent analytical skills; communication & management skills
  • Proactive and pragmatic; organized and solution oriented
  • Ready to travel (US & EMEA), up to 20%
